Monza midfielder Roberto Gagliardini has responded to Adrien Rabiot’s comments about him, stating that things that happen on the pitch should stay on the pitch.
Gagliardini’s premature celebration against Juve yesterday hadn’t just met with a late Federico Gatti goal but also with a scathing Instagram post from Rabiot, who stated that the game is never over until the referee blows for full time and asked the Italian to ‘be humble’ and to remember the lesson from the game.

"Remain humble. Because as long as the referee has not whistled for the end of the game, anything is still possible. Remember this.” pic.twitter.com/OdFf9s3k2v
But the ex-Inter man hasn’t decided to back away from responding. In an Instagram post from the Monza man, he states: “Things that happen on the field stay on the field, not on social media. Go call your mother”
Gagliardini was caught celebrating in front of Rabiot, essentially mocking the Frenchman after Valentin Carboni seemed to have all but sealed a point from the game. But Gatti’s late goal proved vital, handing Juve all three points and taking them to the top of the table for the time being.
Rabiot’s mother is his agent currently and isn’t a popular figure, having annoyed a host of clubs in the past.
