Roma approach Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku

Roma are now making their move to potentially land Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian’s curious case has been the saga of the summer so far but has not yielded a result yet, as he remains at Chelsea. A move to Juventus hasn’t worked out.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Roma have made initial contact with Chelsea for the Belgian, with the Giallorossi serious about the possibility of signing the player. Roma want to close the deal on an initial loan deal, with the Blues now having opened up to that possibility with time running out in the transfer window.

A meeting could take place involving Roma management and Chelsea later today and there will be attempts to get an approval from Lukaku about the transfer to the Stadio Olimpico.

Juventus could not thrash out a deal for the 30-year-old, after Inter stopped responding to calls from former club Inter.
