Roma facing major roadblock in move for Bayern Munich’s Marcel Sabitzer

Roma are interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer but they are facing a major roadblock in their move for the Austrian.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Roma’s move for the midfielder isn’t taking off. He is one of the midfield names liked by the Giallorossi, along with the likes of Scott McTominay and Renato Sanches. Sabitzer has just returned to Bayern from his loan spell at Manchester United and he wants to fight for his place at the Bavarian club and prove himself to Thomas Tuchel.

On the other hand, Bayern now only want to sell him permanently and he has two years left on his contract. They do not want to move him out on another loan deal and Roma are considering how to approach the situation.

Sabitzer made 18 appearances for United under Erik ten Hag last season, scoring thrice and two coming in the Europa League as his season ended prematurely due to a meniscus injury.
