Roma fans could be banned from attending Feyenoord Europa League clash

Dutch authorities are considering banning Roma fans from the upcoming Europa League tie between the two sides at De Kuip.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that there is a belief in the Netherlands that a strong rivalry has developed between Feyenoord and Roma over the years, especially after the UEFA Conference League final yesterday. But the ban that could be imposed on the Roma fans is not related to the rivalry between the two sides.

There is a feeling that Feyenoord fans could vent their frustration against the Roma fans after they were barred from attending the second leg at the Stadio Olimpico. The risk of clashes between the two sides is very high and Dutch authorities aren’t looking to take any risks.

Social media is already full of heated exchanges between the two sides and that is why the Dutch authorities are looking to take a step back during the upcoming fixture.
