Roma fans heckle referee Anthony Taylor at Budapest Airport

Some Roma fans recognised referee Anthony Taylor at the Budapest Airport earlier today and the Englishman was heckled.

Taylor was the centre of controversy yesterday as Jose Mourinho was fuming at some of his decsions. Roma were denied a penalty late in the game despite what seemed like clear handball. Mourinho also stated that Taylor should’ve sent off Erik Lamela for his foul on Roger Ibanez.

After the game, Mourinho also called Taylor’s decision a ‘f*****g disgrace’ and it seems as if Roma fans are also fuming at the Manchester-born referee.

SportItalia have now published a video which involves Taylor being recognised at a crowded Budapest Airport by multiple Roma fans, who started chanting against him and heckled him. This led to Taylor being sent inside a room, as he sought protection from the chaos outside.

During the game, multiple fouls were made and after a point, it had become a stop-start game towards the end. Six of Roma’s players were handed yellow and two members of staff were also cautioned.
