Whilst Roma have fallen heavily behind within the race to acquire Sassuolo star midfielder Davide Frattesi to the likes of Milan and Inter, the Giallorossi have identified two alternative alternative signings in order to reinforce the midfield.
Il Messaggero reports, via TMW, that the capital club have shortlisted Lens midfielder Seko Fofana as one of their primary signings within the central park.Â
Within this year’s campaign, the 28 year-old Ivorian international managed to maintain fine run of form, amassing nine goals and six assists in 35 appearances across all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfits.
However, Lens’ hefty price-tag of €35m for the creative play-maker makes it very difficult for Mouirnho’s side to afford Fofana.Â
As a result, Roma have also kept their tabs open for Bologna holding-midfielder Nico Dominguez, as his contract with the Rossoblu is set to expire in the summer of 2024, making it possible for the Giallorossi to acquire the Argentinian for a quite reasonable fee.
