Serie A giants Roma are interested in the possibility of landing Nikola Milenkovic in the January transfer window.
Chris Smallingโs future at the Giallorossi is in doubt, leaving Roma with the thought of signing a centre-back in January. La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Smallingโs situation is raising multiple doubts at the club, with Evan NโDicka set to depart for AFCON soon and Milenkovic has been on the clubโs radar for a while now.
Fiorentina currently want โฌ20 million to part ways with the Serbian and Roma know that landing him will not be an easy task, especially in January. But the Giallorossi will come up with a plan to sign the Serbian, as they want to make a definitive attempt to qualify for the Champions League.ย
Milenkovic earns โฌ3.3 million per season at Fiorentina and heโs the highest-paid player at the club. But Roma would look to move on Smalling, leaving some gaps in the financial structure to accomodate the Serbian. If the move doesnโt materialise in January, there is a possibility that it could take off in the summer.
