Roma look to sell Roger Ibañez due to FFP issues

Roma are now looking to potentially sell Brazilian defender Roger Ibañez because of the Financial Fairplay issues surrounding them.

Sky Italia have reported about Roma’s finances for the summer, stating that Jose Mourinho on vacation, Tiago Pinto is in charge of the club’s operations in the transfer market. While they want a striker who guarantees 20 goals a season, that need has accentuated after Tammy Abraham’s ACL injury.

But Roma also have FFP issues to monitor. By the 30th of June, they need to earn €30 million from sales. Abraham was previously the prime suspect to leave but that has come under doubt because of the injury. Now, Ibañez has become the player whose sale will give Roma that money to tide over FFP issues.

In recent days, Tottenham and Atletico Madrid have been linked with the Brazilian and they are said to be scouting him and now, a summer seems like a serious probability for the defender.
