Roma reach agreement with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku

Serie A side Roma are on the verge of sealing the signing of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku for a potential loan.

Roma recently grew in confidence about signing the Belgian and the club’s directors were recently in London to speak about the player and potentially reach an agreement with Chelsea.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that an agreement between the two clubs has now been reached and work is being done to define an agreement with the player and his agents. Contact was made between Chelsea and Roma today and it turned out to be a positive one and the loan deal is now being finalised.

Roma will pay Chelsea a loan fee of €5 million this summer, which is a fee that the Giallorossi had initially intended to pay. Talks are now ongoing to understand the wage that Roma will pay as part of the loan deal and they can pay a wage of €7.5 million per season to the 30-year-old.
