Roma set for meeting with Alvaro Morata’s agents

Roma are trying to ramp up their chase for Alvaro Morata and they will soon have a meeting with the agents of the striker.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that West Ham are currently blocking the move for Gianluca Scamacca and Roma already have Morata on the shortlist. They are now trying to move for the Spaniard and are looking to offer an initial loan deal with the option to buy him permanently.

But Atletico Madrid want clubs to pay his release clause and sign him permanently, which is pretty much why he recently signed a new deal in the first place. Next week, Roma will try to tighten their grip over the Morata deal and Tiago Pinto is expected to meet with the player’s agents soon. Paulo Dybala, who worked with Morata at Juventus, is trying to convince the player about joining him at the Giallorossi.

Jose Mourinho is in a hurry and he would like the club to sign a striker before the side leaves for Portugal later this month.
