Roma yet to hold talks with Jose Mourinho regarding future

Roma are yet to speak to Jose Mourinho regarding his future at the club, despite concrete suggestions about his potential exit at the end of the current season.

Il Messaggero (via TMW) have stated Mourinho has already made it clear that he wants to resolve his future this season, instead of doing the same at the end of the season. He wants guarantees about spending, the right transfers and he also wants Champions League football next season. He also wants to know about the futures of some current players, so that he knows the squad he will be using next season.

At the moment though, there has been no contact between the manager and the club’s owners – the Friedkins. They have neither spoken over the phone or in-person. Mourinho wants the situation to be resolved as soon as possible because he can leave the club in the summer, with ‘top clubs’ said to be interested in the Portuguese.

It has been previously reported that Mourinho’s vision for the club is not similar to the one that Tiago Pinto carries and the relationship between the two is also going cold.
