Roma’s Jose Mourinho makes contact for Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Verratti

Roma boss Jose Mourinho has spoken to Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti regarding a potential move.

Corriere della Sera have reported about Mourinho’s interest in bringing the Italy international to Roma this summer. They state that the Giallorossi boss recently called Verratti and he was determined to convince the Italy midfielder about joining Roma this summer, amidst uncertainty at Paris Saint-Germain.

In this case, Roma would like to bring him to the club on a loan deal and relations between the two clubs are quite excellent, as evident from the recent move involving Gini Wijnaldum even though he has now returned to PSG. But in the move for Verratti, there will be a problem regarding his high wage demand.

There has previously been talk about the fact that Verratti could consider a PSG exit this summer and Juventus have been linked with the player, who is said to be a Bianconeri fan. Despite being Italian, Verratti has never played beyond the Serie B.
