Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini rejects Saudi Arabia switch

Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini has rejected approaches from Saudi Arabian sides, after the exit of other Serie A midfielders such as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Marcelo Brozovic.

Il Messaggero today (via TMW) Al-Nassr are keen on Pellegrini and they came forward for the Giallorossi star, who completely rejected the approach. The Azzurri midfielder wants to stay at Roma all costs and he wants to perform well for them, so that he earns a place in the 2024 European championships.

He couldn’t take part in the Euros in 2021 due to injury and he wants to make sure that he plays well for Roma and gets to play for the Azzurri in the Euros at the end of next season.

Al-Nassr already have both Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo Brozovic and Manchester United’s Alex Telles is also on the verge of joining them. But as things stand, Pellegrini will not be following their path and he wants to continue to represent the club he always wanted to play for.
