Serie A side Sampdoria are interested in the possibility of signing Celtic striker Giorgios Giakoumakis.
Fabrizio Romano has reported about the situation of the ex-AEK Athens man, stating that Sampdoria are one of the clubs interested in him and the Blucerchiati have asked Celtic about the terms and conditions of the deal. Dejan Stankovic’s outfit aren’t the only side interested, as clubs in MLS and Japan are also looking at the Greek star.
The striker had joined the Hoops from Dutch side VVV Venlo in the summer transfer window of 2021. Since then, the Greek forward has found the back of the net 25 times in 56 appearances in all competitions and he has two assists to his name as well.
Samp have scored the lowest number of goals in Serie A so far this season and they recently lost Francesco Caputo, who has joined Empoli and found the back of the net against Lazio.
