Sampdoria looking to reach agreement for Jese Rodriguez

Serie A side Sampdoria are looking to sign former Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain player Jese Rodriguez on a free transfer this week.

Secolo XIX have reported that Samp sporting director Mattia Baldini is still looking to add more players to the club’s attack, which relies on Fabio Quagliarella, Manolo Gabbiadini and Sam Lammers. Reliance on them has not led to remarkable results and that is why Rodriguez is a target, with the player having left Ankaragücü mid-January.

There is a chance that an agreement with the player could be found this week and he could become a Samp player soon, with clubs still open to signing free agents even though the January transfer window has closed down.

Still 29, Rodriguez made 14 appearances in the Super Lig for Ankaragücü and he scored two goals in the campaign and got one assist. Before this, he was at Las Palmas in Spain and had scored 11 times in 39 league appearances in the Spanish second division.
