Saudi Arabian clubs keen on Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski

Multiple Saudi Arabian teams are chasing Napoli midfielder and Scudetto winner Piotr Zielinski (29).

Piotr Zielinski’s contract in the south of Italy expires next summer, which of course makes the midfielder and interesting option for multiple teams. According to Alfredo Pedullà, Al-Ahli have relaunched a strong interest, while there could be another team from the country interested. Pedullà adds that Lazio are following the Pole as well, with Sarri seeing him as the perfect replacement for Sergej Milinković-Savić, who’s heading to Saudi Arabia himself. There have been contacts between Claudio Lotito and Aurelio De Laurentiis, but a bid is not that close. If Lazio don’t manage to change that soon, one of the Saudi based teams might swoop in.

Zielinski was one of the pillars for Napoli’ Scudetto success last season. The Polish midfielder scored 3 goals and gave 8 assists in the league. Zielinski joined Napoli in the summer of 2016 from Udinese. The 29-year-old also featured four times at the World Cup with Poland, scoring once. It’s safe to say he had a pretty great year.
