Serie A PREVIEW | Inter vs Milan

Italy’s biggest and most historic derby will once again steal the headlines on Sunday evening as Inter and Milan face off in a pivotal clash in the pack chasing league leaders Napoli.

The two sides from Milano met in January as Inter walked to Supercoppa Italina success by beating their city rivals 3-0, in a convincing win.

Things haven’t got much better for Milan since, as they haven’t won a single game, including last weeks 5-2 humbling at the hands of Sassuolo. Inter meanwhile sit second in the table and look like the most likely side to challenge the bar setters who are Napoli.

Inter might have their defensive ranks bolstered by the return of Milan Skriniar, after a month of constant speculation on his future.

Meanwhile Milan are expected to be without Ismael Bennacer and the usual list of injured suspects Mike Maignan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic amongst those on the long term doctors table.

Predicted Inter XI | Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi,Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Martinez, Dzeko

Predicted Milan XI | Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kalulu, Kjaer, Hernandez; Pobega, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Krunic, Leao; Giroud

Prediction | Inter 2-0 Milan; Milan are in woeful form and coming into the derby as technically the away side, they will do very well to get anything from this game. Inter should continue to solidify their top four credentials with a win.
