Serie A PREVIEW | Juventus v Udinese

Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus take on Andrea Sottil’s Udinese as they look to close the gap on league leaders Napoli.

The Bianconeri were dour in the game against Cremonese but a stoppage time free-kick from Arkadiusz Milik saw them through with three points in the bag. This kept Juve’s excellent recent record going as they last lost a league game in their tie against Milan.

Udinese meanwhile, had started the season as the high-flying underdogs, but their form fell off soon enough. Their first game post-World Cup break saw them get held to a 1-1 draw by ten men Empoli, who had Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro sent off after they had taken the lead. Sottil’s side are currently eighth in the table, only five behind sixth-placed Roma.

Sky Italia have stated that while Bremer could be replaced by Daniele Rugani, Allegri could start both Federico Chiesa and Angel di Maria for the first time this season. Sottil meanwhile, has to do without keyman Gerard Deulofeu, with Beto and Isaac Success expected to start upfront.

Juventus predicted line-up: Szczesny; Danilo, Rugani, Alex Sandro; Chiesa, Miretti, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic; Di Maria, Kean

Udinese predicted line-up: Silvestri; Becao, Bijol, Perez; Pereyra, Lovric, Walace, Arslan, Udogie; Beto, Success
