Serie A PREVIEW | Leece vs. Roma

Sitting pretty in third until yesterday, the Eternal City side Roma look to continue their good form as they visit Leece at Stadio Via del Mare on Saturday evening.

Jose Mourinho’s men have won four from six since club football returned, while Leece are in resurgence, beating the side who sit 20th in Cremonese in their previous game. That is their only win in the last five games in the league.

Roma are nearly 20 points ahead of Leece, and have traditionally been quite dominant against Leece, and considering the good form, a victory seems likely.

Leece will undoubtedly set up defensively against the capital side, as they have in the past 19 meetings against Roma, shipped on average 2.4 goals per game.

In the reverse fixture, Paulo Dybala’s penalty was enough to earn the Romans the victory.

Team News

Leece will likely miss Youssef Maleh, Marin Pongracic and Kastroit Dermaku all through injury.

Meanwhile Roma will be without Leonardo Spinazzola who is the main absentee as his thigh injury keeps him out until mid March.

Leece Predicted XI | Falcone; Gendrey, Baschirotto, Umtiti, Pezzella; Blin, Hjulmand, Gonzalez; Strefezza, Colombo, Di Francesco

Roma Predicted XI | Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Zalewski, Cristante, Matic, El Shaarawy; Pellegrini, Dybala; Abraham

GIFN Predicts | Leece 0-1 Roma; Despite the home form for Leece which has seen only three teams take all three points from them, Roma are in good form and should be able to grab victory. Don’t expect it to be easy though.
