Serie A PREVIEW | Milan vs Torino

The Rossoneri welcome Torino to the San Siro, as they look to escape the rut they have found themselves in, losing four games on the bounce.

Milan looked solid in second three weeks ago, however following a string of losses, they find themselves in sixth, five points off Milan rivals Inter after the 1-0 loss in last week’s Derby della Madonnina.

Torino meanwhile could close the gap on Milan to just five points with a win here, as they are currently on a run of three league games without losing.

Stefano Pioli will no doubt have harboured any hopes of retaining the Scudetto with Napoli nearly 20 points ahead now, however Milan will have to focus and ensure they don’t miss out on Champions League football.

Team News

Milan have been light numbered all season, and that is sure to continue here, as first choice players Ismael Bennacer, Fikayo Tomori and Mike Maignan are all on the sidelines, with hopes of returning in time for the UCL date with Spurs. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is finally training again but likely this game comes too soon to even feature on the bench.

Torino meanwhile will be without Pietro Pellegri as he is out due to a thigh problem, while Samuele Ricci will miss out too along with Valentino Lazaro and David Zima who are out long term.

Milan predicted XI | Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Kjaer, Thiaw; Calabria, Pobega, Tonali, Krunic, Hernandez; Leao, Giroud

Torino predicted XI | Milinkovic-Savic; Schuurs, Buongiorno, Rodriguez; Aina, Linetty, Vieira, Vojvoda; Miranchuk, Vlasic; Sanabria

Prediction | Milan 2-1 Torino; Milan merely have too much quality to remain in this rut forever and are bound to bounce back at some point, GIFN predict this will be here. Expect a tight and competitive game however Milan should edge it.
