Serie A sides Juventus and Roma to fight for Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi

Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly accelerated their conquest for Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi’s signature in the last few days amidst Roma’s interest.

According to a report from La Repubblica, Davide Frattesi has been on the wishlist of the Bianconeri for a while and the club has already initiated primary contacts with Sassuolo and the player’s agent.

The 23-year-old has been influential in the Neroverdi’s season and his current club has promised to sell him after the end of this season. A starting price of around €35 million is expected to be set by Sassuolo and a bidding war is predicted to commence in the summer transfer window for the promising midfielder.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has specifically asked his club about the signing of Frattesi. The Giallorossi approached Sassuolo last summer for the Italian midfielder but failed to secure the signing.

The capital club will aim to reduce the asking price by including 20-year-old sensation Edoardo Bove in the deal along with a 30 per cent resale value.
