Simone Inzaghi’s future at Inter could be at risk

Following Inter’s devastating 2-1 defeat to relegation-fighting side Spezia yesterday evening, The Nerazzurri find themsleves within a crisis that puts Simone Inzaghi’s future at Inter in grave risk.

As it stands, Inter currently find themselves in second place with 50 points, 15 points adrift of league-leaders Napoli. With a great deal of top-four hopefuls possessing a game-in hand, the Beneamata could very well find themselves in serious danger of not being able to hold onto their spot within the league-standings.

Coming off their eighth loss of the season where they were unable to seize all three points against an obviously inferior team yet again has raised great concern and question marks as Inter have lacked total consistency under Inzaghi this season.

The Nerazzurri boss has struggled to achieve results away of home and has made a series of severe errors through squad selection and failure to make correct in-game decisions that has potentially shattered the club’s hopes of achieving their objectives at the end of the season.

FcInterNews reports, that simply finishing within the top four at the end of the campaign may not be enough for Inzaghi to secure his spot in the dugout next season, despite his contract with the Milanese club expiring in 2024.

With Inter still within the Round of 16 of the Champions League and the quarter finals of the Coppa Italia, Inzaghi hopes to achieve positive results within the cup competitions and get the best out of his team within the domestic league in order to avoid losing his position at Inter.
