Sofyan Amrabat apologises to Fiorentina after Barcelona sway

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has apologised to the club after he skipped training yesterday, amidst links with Barcelona.

The Catalan side had made bids to sign Amrabat on deadline day but Fiorentina rejected those attempts, as they had limited time to identify and sign a replacement on the same day. Amrabat, amidst all of the speculation, had not turned up for training with his teammates.

FirenzaViola have reported that Amrabat has been reinstated into the squad for the club’s game against Torino today in the Coppa Italia. This happened after the midfielder had arrived at the training centre and had apologised to Vincenzo Italiano and his teammates. Italiano accepted his apology and this led to him being reinstated into the squad.

The tension between him and La Viola has now subsided for the time being and he could feature against Il Toro later today, with the cup game being quite vital for Fiorentina.
