Standout stat shows Federico Dimarco’s worth for Inter

Inter defender Federico Dimarco once again demonstrated his agility and creativity as he netted the decider against Empoli to ensure that his side remained perfect in their start to the new season.

According to a report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Federico Dimarco has been recorded as the defender to contribute the most in goals during this season amongst Europe’s top five leagues. No defender has contributed such eloquently to the creation of chances and realising them like the Italian wing-back.

The 25-year-old sent in a beautiful first-time volley into the top corner of the net in the 51st minute of the Nerazzurri’s match against Empoli. However, this was not the only exploit he has achieved in these past few days. In fact, Dimarco has documented three consecutive assists against Cagliari, Fiorentina and Milan this season. Jeremie Frimpong and Caio Henrique have managed to do so but the Inter full-back’s contributions go a long way.

Dimarco played a colossal role in Inter’s Champions League run last season and acted as a menace from the left flank to destabilise Manchester City in the final which they eventually lost. Manager Simone Inzaghi has been able to bet on and attract dividends from this man during each and every game.

A huge threat to the opposition when he orchestrates a run from the left, Federico Dimarco has time on his side to grow more and cement his name to be an Inter legend in the near future.
