Stefano Pioli and Paolo Maldini at risk of Milan exit

Milan manager and club sporting director Paolo Maldini are at risk of being sacked, if the season doesn’t go the right way for the Rossoneri.

Luca Bianchin has reported that Milan’s next four or five games are going to be quite vital for the club and that doesn’t just apply to their balance sheet but also applies to both Pioli and Maldini. In June, RedBird had renewed the deals of Maldini and Pioli, entrusting them with a project that was working and they had the belief in them to use the money from the Champions League well.

But there is now concern at the club, especially after the loss to Spezia and the way in which the summer signings have failed. There is belief that the team has taken a backwards step and it has led to loss of finances that have been invested into the club by RedBird, with Pioli also failing to bring the most out of the players.

And now, an exit against Inter and a failure to qualify for the Champions League will make RedBird question the futures of both Maldini and Pioli and their futures at the club will be at risk.
