Tensions are now mounting in the situation involving Juventus and club veteran Leonardo Bonucci.
The Italian is already out of the Bianconeriโs project and he is training separately, away from the clubโs first-team. He did not travel with the squad to the United States.
La Gazzetta dello Sport state that the tensions between the club and Bonucci are high. The playerโs lawyers sent a warning to the Old Ladyโs higher management. Juve responded immediately, stating that Bonucci is still being provided high quality training facilities and their choice to exclude him from the plans is โtechnicalโ.
Bonucci has already been linked with moves away from the Old Lady but nothing has materialised so far, leaving him in a rather frustrating situation at a club where he signed a new contract only some months ago. He had suffered injury troubles last season but was still the club captain, which he wonโt be next season.
