Serie A side Torino are keen on the possibility of signing Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta this summer.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that while Il Toro had tried to sign the Frenchman in January too, the attempts didnโt materialise into a transfer. But they are now back in the hunt for him and are trying to sign the 25-year-old this summer.
Apart from Torino, newly promoted Serie A outfit Genoa are also interested and there is said to be no shortage of interest in Mateta, who has failed to make a mark at the London side since joining from German side Mainz initially on loan in the summer of 2021 and then permanently in the summer of 2022.
In the 2022/23 season, Mateta found the back of the net only twice in 29 appearances and he was often forced to play in the clubโs Reserves side too. Last season, he had scored five times for the Eagles.
