Tottenham boss Antonio Conte to return for Champions League tie against Milan

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is set to return to the team’s bench for the upcoming Champions League Round of 16 second leg clash against Milan in London.

The Lilywhites had lost the first leg by a narrow 1-0 margin and are still very much in the game. Conte was on the bench for that game at the San Siro (and was even booed by some Milan fans) but his absence has been filled by assistant manager Cristian Stellini. Spurs did lose to Sheffield United in the FA Cup recently but did pick up a big win over Manchester City during Stellini’s time as the stand-in boss.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Conte will be on the bench for the Milan game in London for Spurs, with Stellini set to fill his absence by being on the bench for the upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves.

Conte was away from the field for a few weeks after a gallbladder operation which took place on February 1st.
