Tottenham make contact for Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto

Tottenham are interested in Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto, as they continue to look for a new sporting director to replace Fabio Paratici.

Marco Conterio has reported that Spurs have held numerous talks to identify the right profile for their sporting director vacancy and recently, Tiago Pinto’s name has been of interest to Daniel Levy. Talks with Roma’s sporting director were held in London recently and the Portuguese is one of the names on the Londoners’ shortlist.

There was talk of interest in Genoa’s Johannes Spors but he is not being considered for the role, for the time being. Former Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Tim Steidten is currently said to be featuring quite prominently, with Brentford’s Lee Dykes and Bayern Munich’s Marco Neppe also in the shortlist.

Recently, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche’s name has also gained prominence and he is currently leading the race to takeover. He has also held a similar role at RB Leipzig in the past.
