Napoli striker Victor Osimhen wants the club’s social media team to apologise to him after the controversy surrounding the TikTok release involving him.
The club’s social media team had posted a couple of offensive videos about the striker, with one of the clips carrying racial undertones as well. Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda has already stated that they could take legal action against the Partenopei, but it remains to be seen how things progress.
Osimhen has already been called up for the club’s Serie A game against Udinese and Il Mattino state that he wants to perform for the club and never asked to be excluded from the side. He is expected to start in the game as well. But Osimhen, as also reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, lost his temper when he came across the TikTok videos yesterday.
He wants the club’s social media manager to clarify the misunderstanding which unfolded yesterday, with the social media manager having already apologised for the incident. Osimhen is not looking for a face to face meeting with manager Rudi Garcia at this point.
