Who is most likely to depart your favourite Serie A team this window?

As the January transfer window rolls onward, we ponder the question, will any of Serie A’s top sides lose any of their stars in the final weeks of the window.

Napoli and Milan look unlikely to lose anyone and have therefore been excluded from this list, however we will discuss who is most likely to depart from Juventus, Inter, Fiorentina, Lazio or Atalanta.

Juventus | Weston McKennie

The American midfielder has struggled recently and seems to be surplus to requirements in Turin, this feeling has only been added to by Fabrizio Romano revealing last week that its possible that McKennie departs the Bianconeri in January with Premier League clubs sniffing around:

Romano told CBS Sports Golazo via Twitter; “They had some conversations with Aston Villa and other English clubs. At the moment, Juventus have not received any official bid yet, but for McKennie it’s a possibility to leave the club in January.”

This only added fuel to the fire, however the all American won’t come cheap with Gianluca Di Marzio suggesting that Juventus would expect a fee north of €40 million.

Inter | Denzel Dumfries

Denzel Dumfries has been linked with a Premier League move for a long time now, and his World Cup performances have only added to his allure.

Gazzetta dello Sport, reported earlier in the window that Chelsea could be tempted to make a January swoop, with their first choice right back, Reece James, on the doctors table currently.

Dumfries is also said to be admired by Manchester United and Bayern Munich too, making him a coveted asset which Inter will be desperate to hold on to this January.

Fiorentina | Nico Gonzalez

The Fiorentina winger has been linked to Brendan Rodgers struggling Foxes this window, thanks to his impressive performances last season mainly for Fiorentina. The Argentine has struggled this season with injuries.

This hasn’t deterred potential suitors though, with Leicestershire Live reporting that Leicester City have held talks regarding a £30 million move for the 24-year-old.

Leicester fans will be hoping that they can get Nico in and some additional reinforcements, as they look to bounce back and have a better second half of the season.

Lazio | Luis Alberto

Luis Alberto has been an ever present at Lazio for several years now however Corriere dello Sport has reported that he looks set to leave, with a return to his native Spain most likely.

Spanish outlet Relevo have suggested that Cadiz fancy taking the midfielder on loan in January.

Despite the rumours though, Lazio Director Igli Tare denied this, telling Sky Sport (reported by Corriere dello Sport); “I don’t understand why there’s always a fuss around him. He’s under contract until 2025.”

This suggests Alberto will stay put, but in football, you never know.

Atalanta | Jeremie Boga

Former Chelsea starlet Jeremie Boga, is another target of the struggling Foxes in the Premier League, with the former Premier League champions reportedly in negotiations to sign the winger.

La Repubblica via Fiorentina.it have reported that Leicester hunted Boga in the summer and seemingly have returned in January in hopes of signing the talented Ivory Coast international. However completing the deal won’t be easy as they face competition from Fiorentina who reportedly see Boga as a great market opportunity.

Boga has always been highly praised with current Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, saying that only Messi can dribble better than Boga. So with Leandro Trossard looking likely to leave the Amex, could De Zerbi make a swoop.
