Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Charles De Ketelaere could start for Milan against Salernitana

With Milan set to face Salernitana Monday evening in match-week 26 of the campaign, the Rossonerri look to rotate their squad following Wednesday’s Champions League fixture against Premier League outfit Tottenham.

MilanNews reports that Belgian international Charles De Ketelaere will most likely feature from the get-go within the match and will slot in the attacking midfield role in favour of Spaniard Brahim Diaz.

In addition, veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in contention to start within the point-of-attack over Frenchman Olivier Giroud for the first time in over year due to his grave injury. The Swede will be evaluated over the weekend in order for Pioli to make the best decision to avoid worsening Ibrahimovic’s physical condition.

As it stands, the Rossonerri currently sit in fifth place with a total of 47 points along-side Roma, with only three points separating themselves from second-placed Inter following their shocking defeat to Spezia yesterday evening.

Securing a victory on Milanese soil will be vital to keep the pressure on their cross-city rivals and avoid slipping out of the race for a top-four spot within the league-standings.
