Aston Villa could make big offer for Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee

Premier League side Aston Villa are trying to push to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee, who has been linked with Serie A clubs.

Milan are said to be keen on the Dutchman and Juventus have already made contact to sign the player, having spoken to Bayern Munich about signing him from them when they potentially exercise their buyback clause.

But it seems as if Premier League interest in the striker is increasing. Il Resto del Carlino (via TuttoBologna) state that Villa are interested in the 22-year-old and they could be willing to potentially break the bank for the ex-Bayern man. Monchi, who was at Roma not too long ago, has a thorough knowledge of the Serie A.

Villa could be ready to meet Bologna’s asking price of about €60 million to €70 million to sign Zirkzee and would also be able to afford his salary. The report also goes onto state that Villa will make the move if they qualify for the Champions League and have already spoken to his agent about how much wages they would have to pay to sign the 22-year-old.
