Serie A giants Atalanta have now made a new offer for Celtic midfielder Matt OโRiley, after a previous approach was rejected.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Atalanta have been following their interest in OโRiley for quite a while and after an initial rejection, they have retouched their offer in the last few hours.
They had previously offered โฌ15 million plus bonuses of โฌ3 million, but their new offer is at โฌ18 million and bonuses of โฌ3 million, taking the offer upto โฌ21 million. Having said that, the amount is still not enough to convince the Hoops, who want a fee of โฌ27 million to sell the Dane.
OโRiley appreciates the interest from Atalanta and would be interested in the move and an agreement in principle already exists. As of now, there is a difference of about โฌ5 million or โฌ6 million between the two parties and it could be resolved soon.
