The agent of Bologna star Lewis Ferguson has revealed that it would be difficult for the midfielder to reject a move to Serie A giants Juventus.
Fergusonโs impressive performances for the Rossoblu have attracted attention from multiple bigger Italian sides and one of the clubs linked is Juve themselves, as they look to bolster their midfield for next season. While they have also been linked with Teun Koopmeiners, it remains to be seen if they move for Ferguson.
The Scotsmanโs agent Billy McMurdo recently spoke to TVPlay (via TuttoBologna) about his clientโs future at Bologna. He revealed that if Thiago Motta joins Juventus and wants to take Ferguson with him, the midfielder would find it difficult to reject the chance.
โI want to point out that my client could have signed for any team in the Serie A championship on a free transfer, but he choseย Bolognaย after having had various conversations withย Sartoriย andย Di Vaio and the choice turned out to be a winning one considering the extraordinary season they are having. There are many rumors linking Lewis to teams of the caliber ofย Napoliย ,ย Interย ,ย Milanย andย Juve , but he has always been clear with Bologna: if one of these teams ever contacts him, the Bologna management will evaluate the offer.โ
On Mottaโs future, McMurdo said: โThiago Mottaย ? He is an extraordinary coach and if he were to go toย Juventusย ,ย considering the respect he has for Lewis, he would like to have him with him, and it would be difficult for my client to refuse such an offer.โ
Ferguson has scored six times this season and has four assists to his name in what has been an impressive return. And it is easy to see what makes him such an appealing asset for bigger clubs.
