Serie A side Fiorentina have asked for information for Galatasaray’s Nicolo Zaniolo, who is set to leave Aston Villa at the end of the season.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the situation of the Italian, who seems destined to depart Villa in the summer and end his loan stint at the club. At the end of the season, he will return to Galatasaray and will then decide his future at the club.
Zaniolo would love a return to Roma but it seems improbable. But he would like a return to Italy and Fiorentina are the most likely destination, as of now. They have asked for information for the winger and while they haven’t made an offer, they are simply taking time in formulating a bid.
Setting up negotiations currently seems difficult, but it is not impossible. Because his contract at Gala expires in 2027, the Turkish club can afford to keep their demands high. It could start at €25 million, but La Viola could look to sign him on an initial loan deal with the option to buy him permanently. Zaniolo’s current wage would be very much in line with what other players get at Fiorentina and that could help in the move.
