Genoa’s Radu Dragusin waits for Bayern Munich as Tottenham agree deal

The Radu Dragusin transfer saga is confusing many but it now seems to be at the final stretch, with the defender prefering Bayern Munich as Tottenham continue to push to close the deal.

The day has seen information about the Romanian defender overflow social media, with multiple sources suggesting different things. With Napoli’s interest ruled out, Bayern Munich’s late inclusion threatened Spurs’ chances of signing Dragusin but the extent of that has been called into question over the last few hours.

But the most reliable bit of information – one that adds a fair amount of context and explains a lot of the confusion, comes from SportItalia’s Gianluigi Longari.

It is reported that while Spurs have an agreement with both Genoa and the player, the 21-year-old is more keen on heading to Bavaria. Because of how quickly Bayern Munich have entered the race, Dragusin has essentially asked Genoa to give Bayern time to come up with an offer that suits the Rossoblu’s valuation, due to preference for the German giants.

While the English giants are already in agreement with both parties and pretty much have a deal sealed, dallying from the player’s behalf is causing an issue as he wants Bayern over Spurs. It isn’t to say that he wouldn’t join Spurs, he would, and the agreement in place suggests that.

Gianluca di Marzio meanwhile, states that if Bayern do not raise their offer for Dragusin, the player will end up at Tottenham as early as tomorrow.
