Hellas Verona in talks to sell Scotland’s Josh Doig

Scottish defender Josh Doig could be the next defender to leave Hellas, with Isak Hien having already joined Atalanta.

Hien has become the first major transfer of the January transfer window in Serie A but Verona could be preparing for more sales already this month.

Sky Italia state that Doig could be on his way to Torino this month. Verona are in talks with Il Toro about a potential move for the Scotsman, with contacts said to be ongoing.

So far this season, Doig has made ten appearances in the Serie A for Verona and is yet to score or assist. He has played 674 minutes of first-team football, but he was an important part of the side last season as he scored twice and assisted four times.

Doig isn’t the only other Verona player to be attracting interest from other clubs. Right-back Filippo Terraciano interests Fiorentina, but the Gialloblu are interested Colon’s Facundo Garces.
