How Benjamin Pavard proved his value in Inter’s win over Juventus

Inter’s win over Juventus hands them a big advantage in the Serie A title race, with the Nerazzurri now four points clear at the top with a game in hand.

They needed an own goal from Federico Gatti in the first half to win the game, but they deserved the victory considering how the game had panned out. Simone Inzaghi’s side was up for it from the get-go, imposing themselves in attacking areas as Juventus’ attack was blunted.

Benjamin Pavard put in an impressive performance and it was probably the best performance of his time at the club. As per FotMob, the Frenchman played 61 passes accurately with a passing accuracy of 91 percent. He created one chance in the game, but won all four of his ground duels – four.

He played eight passes in the final third, showing how excellent he is at linking play together from deep. He made as many as seven recoveries, winning two of his tackles. It was a truly complete performance from the France international, who could soon turn into a regret for Bayern Munich.
