Inter wing-back Denzel Dumfries was racially abused during the Nerazzurri’s recent Serie A win over Bologna.
ANSA have provided a detailed account of what happened during the game at the weekend. A fan racially abused Dumfries and he evidently called him a ‘monkey’. Not far away, another fan, who happens to be a Youtuber, heard what was said and he decided to film it as he was sure that the other fan was being racist.
The Youtuber told the racist fan about the fact that whatever was said wasn’t appropriate and even ‘scolded’ him about it. The racist fan does try to justify what he said but he later falls silent. The video has gone vital in the last few hours and was also picked up by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Bologna have not received any reports of racist abuse from the stewards and are yet to take any action about the situation.
