Interโ€™s Francesco Acerbi on racism allegations by Juan Jesus: โ€œNothing racist came out of my mouthโ€

Inter defender Francesco Acerbi has stated that nothing racist was said by him in the Serie A clash involving the Nerazzurri and Napoli.

Juan Jesus had accused Acerbi of using the n-word against him in the game yesterday, a video showed. After the game, he hinted at the same. Italy removed Acerbi from their squad, citing his own โ€˜serenityโ€™ as a reason. His agent Federico Pastorello has stated that nothing racist was said.

Acerbi has now spoken up about the accusations. In a chat with Sky Italia very recently, he stated that he never said anything racist and Juan Jesus probably misheard what he said.

โ€œNothing racist came out of my mouth, it was he who misunderstood. Iโ€™m very calm, Iโ€™ve been playing for 20 years football and I know what Iโ€™m sayingโ€

Even the Azzurri have stated that after a reconstruction, Acerbi stated that he didnโ€™t say anything that was of racist nature. Pastorello has stated that both the players have spoken about it and it was only a misjudgement on the part of the Napoli.
