Inter’s Stefano Sensi to seal deadline day Leicester City move

Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi is set to seal a move which will see him swap Serie A and the Premier League, as he joins Leicester City.

The move was in the works for many days now and while it seemed as if it was nearing, it had stopped. La Gazzetta dello Sport now confirm that it will go through on deadline day and Sensi will travel to England later today. The move has been unblocked and talks overnight proved to be decisive.

Contacts even took place between the two clubs today morning, as they worked to define the agreement. While La Gazzetta dello Sport state that it will be an initial loan deal, FCInter1908 and Sky Italia have stated that it will be a permanent deal as Sensi will leave the Nerazzurri only six months before his contract at Inter expires.

Sensi had arrived at Inter from Sassuolo and after a glittering initial spell, injury troubles made sure that he couldn’t get back to his best.
