Italy national team boss Luciano Spalletti has stated his belief that Serie A league leaders Inter can win the Champions League this season.
 The Nerazzurri did reach the final of the competition last season and recently picked up a well-deserved 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16 first leg, thanks to a Marko Arnautovic goal. They still have a task to do in the second leg but they have an advantage.
Inter’s record in Europe under Inzaghi has been very good and Spalletti recently spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about their chances of winning the Champions League.Â
He said: “Yes, because they have everything. Style of play, balance, compactness, maturity, unity of intent. Everyone helps each other, you don’t see any wrong attitudes, gestures of annoyance after a substitution or a mistake. They are a team. They train well and in the middle of the pitch, they are very strong.”
Spalletti has managed at Inter but they didn’t go beyond the group stages under him. In fact, the Nerazzurri’s record under Inzaghi is much superior to that of Spalletti, Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. He has picked up 15 European wins in his stint and all the other three managers managed 15 wins combined.
