With very little time remaining in the transfer window, Juventus have acted urgently in their pursuit of a central midfielder as the Bianconeri are on the verge of closing in on a deal for Southampton midfielder Carlos Alcaraz.
Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that coach Massimiliano Allegri’s side are holding intense talks with with the Saints as they are working extensively towards reaching an agreement regarding the fees.
The young Argentine has already given his green light to the English outfits to join the Bianconeri for the second half of this year’s campaign, as he expected to arrive in Turin on the 31st of January during the day in order to undergo his required medicals.
As it stands, it seems that the deal for the 21 year-old Argentinian rising star will be a six-month loan with an option to buy worth around the region of €35m.
Whilst Juventus were unable to acquire the services of Udinese’s Roberto Pereyra and Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonaventura, the Old Lady have shifted their focus entirely on the south-American footballer, whom has amassed three goals and one assist in 23 games played in the English Football Championship.
