Juventus star Federico Chiesa’s Italy spot at risk for Euro 2024

Juventus star Federico Chiesa currently finds his Italy spot for the upcoming European championships at risk.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the situation of the Italian, who has scored just once in 2024 so far. Physical issues are affecting him and he picked up another injury today in Juventus training and that could keep him out for the next game as well.

Juve are convinced that he would get back on track soon even though doubts remain about his long-term future at the Old Lady. Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani was in Turin this past weekend but no progress was made regarding a new deal. Talks over a renewal are at a standstill.

But the summer is expected to much more important than just his future at Juve. Italy boss Luciano Spalletti seems likely to switch to a 3-4-1-2 shape and Juve playing in a 3-5-2 hampers Chiesa’s involvement. If Spalletti changes to a 3-4-1-2, Chiesa’s involvement in the Azzurri would be at risk and if things don’t improve, he might not be playing at the Euros.
