Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s father: “In my opinion, he will decide to continue at Napoli”

The father of Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia believes that the Georgian winger will stay at the Serie A giants this summer.

The Partenopei have certainly witnessed a season of struggle and while Kvaratskhelia recently grabbed a brace in a dominant 6-1 win over Sassuolo, there has been talk about his future at the club.

He is yet to sign a new deal at the Naples based side, where he was instrumental in the Serie A title win last season. Talk has been rife about a renewal, but nothing concrete has come to the fore and his long-term future has been questioned regularly by the press.

His father Badri recently spoke to Radio TV Serie A (via CM) and he was asked about his son’s future. Badri stated that the winger will stay at Napoli in the summer.

“I thank Italy and Napoli for having welcomed and appreciated him as a person, as well as a footballer. Only he will be able to choose whether to stay in Naples in the future and I will respect his every decision. In my opinion he will decide to continue wearing the Napoli shirt.” 

While Kvaratskhelia’s numbers have witnessed a drop-off this season, but they’re still not that bad in general. He has scored eight goals and has five assists to his name and has been the club’s most involved player in the goals.
