Serbian midfielder Lazar Samardzic is set to have his medical at Atalanta, ahead of his move from Udinese.
Atalanta initially seemed close to signing Celticโs Matt OโRiley but they seem to have failed in that regard after Celticโs asking price rose.
But they have now quickly sealed a move for Samardzic, who was previously linked with Inter and Juventus.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that La Dea have closed their move for the midfielder, who will arrive on a permanent deal. Udinese will earn โฌ20 million plus bonuses, with Atalantaโs four bids having been rejected by Celtic for OโRiley. Samardzic will undergo his medical tomorrow.
This will impact Atalantaโs sale of Teun Koopmeiners but it doesnโt force them to do anything. It comes down to them, but they are considering the bid on the table by Juventus. A previous bid has been rejected but a new one is already on the table.
