Lazio interested in Miroslav Klose as replacement for Maurizio Sarri

Lazio are now looking at a new manager after Maurizio Sarri’s resignation and one option is former striker Miroslav Klose.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about Sarri’s resignation, stating that the Italian has already cleared his locker at Formello. He submitted a resignation earlier today after arriving at the training centre and club CEO Claudio Lotito is now arriving at the headquarters to confirm the exit.

Lazio, it is stated, didn’t expect Sarri to resign after the defeat to Udinese. If Lotito accepts the resignation, the club will look for an interim boss and options are being assessed by the higher-ups already. Klose is one name being looked at closely and another name is another former Lazio striker – Tommaso Rocchi.

Igor Tudor is also an option but the difficulty with him is that they would have to present a long-term project to him, whereas the current role is an interim one.
