Premier League side Leicester City are currently in pole position to sign Juventus starlet Matias Soule, with Roma also an interested party.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that Thiago Motta holds Soule in high esteem, but the Argentine is the most sought-after Juventus player in the current market as there is keen interest from England and Roma. Cristiano Guintoli has told Motta that the player would only be sold if a big offer arrives that meets Juveโs asking price of โฌ40 million.
Leicesterโs first offer was of โฌ25 million plus bonuses of โฌ5 million and it was rejected by the Bianconeri. But if they offer a base of โฌ30 million and bonuses, it would probably unlock the deal.ย
While Soule is more keen on joining Roma, the wage of โฌ3 million per season offered by Leicester tempts him. His agent is currently in Turin and is monitoring any developments regarding his clientโs future, as Roma prepare to make an offer too. Daniele de Rossi is very keen but Juve would rather sell him to a non-Italian club and not to an European rival in the Serie A.
