Milan attempt loan move for Al Ahli’s Merih Demiral

Milan want to sign former Atalanta defender Merih Demiral from Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli this month.

The Rossoneri remain in the market for a new defender and Demiral is a name which was linked to them some weeks ago, months after he had joined Al Ahli from Atalanta.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that in the last few hours, Milan have made an attempt for Demiral. The Rossoneri want to sign him till the end of the season, but a move remains fairly complicated due to multiple reasons.

Firstly, the Turk’s salary demands are very high and Milan can’t match those demands. Secondly, Al Ahli haven’t allowed him to depart just yet. Demiral recently returned from a meniscus injury and despite these issues, Milan are still interested and will continue to move for the Turkish star.

Demiral was linked with a move to Inter quite heavily at Atalanta but that never materialised, as Al Ahli swooped quickly last summer.
